The Opportunity

TruEco Construction is scaling toward $10M in annual revenue, and we need a high-impact leader to recruit, build, and direct our sales and marketing engine.

This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity to hire, train, and scale a top-tier team of Outside Sales professionals and an Inside Sales / Marketing professional while establishing the systems required for rapid growth in Mid-Michigan.

The 90-Day Success Metric

Your Key 90-Day Milestone: Within your first 90 days, you will successfully recruit, onboard, and train a minimum of 3 salespeople who are fully competent, confident, and actively ready to close sales on their own.

Core Responsibilities

1. Build & Scale the Team 

• Recruit & Onboard: Source, interview, and hire high-performing Outside Sales Reps and Inside Sales/Marketing staff.
• Train & Coach: Develop onboarding playbooks, conduct field ride-alongs, and run daily/weekly coaching sessions to maximize close rates and job margins.
• Culture & Accountability: Drive performance using clear scorecards, daily cadences, and JobNimbus CRM hygiene.

2. Drive Marketing & Lead Gen

• Oversee multi-channel campaigns across Google Ads, LSA, SEO, Facebook, Direct Mail, and referral programs.
• Manage ad spend to optimize Cost Per Lead (CPL) and Cost Per Acquisition (CPA).

3. Sales Operations & Pipeline Control

• Enforce speed-to-lead (< 5 min response time) and appointment confirmation protocols.
• Maintain team close rates at 35%+ with gross margins at 40%+.
• Enforce TruEco’s strict 8-Point Production Handoff Gate to ensure 100% complete job files before handover.

Performance Targets:

• Key Metric| Target Goal
• Team Building| Fully staff sales & marketing departments within 90 days
• Speed to lead | Contact 100% of web leads in < 5 minutes
• Show Rate | > 85% inspection attendance
• Close Rate | > 35% on qualified inspections
• Gross Margin | ≥ 40% on all sold jobs

Qualifications

• Proven Team Builder: 3+ years sales, with a documented track record of recruiting and scaling a team.
• CRM Mastery: Proficient in JobNimbus (or equivalent construction CRM like AccuLynx or RoofLink).
• Player-Coach Mentality: Ability to model sales techniques in the field while managing top-level strategy and recruiting pipelines.
• Licensing: Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

TruEco Construction - Roofing is looking for a Salesperson to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated, self-driven sales professional.

You will meet with homeowners, perform inspections and quotes, present solutions, and close sales for roofing, seamless gutters, and gutter protection systems.

• Conduct roof and gutter inspections
• Educate homeowners on roofing, gutter, and gutter guard options
• Prepare and present estimates and proposals
• Close sales on provided and self-generated leads
• Maintain professional follow-up with customers
• Accurately document inspections, pricing, and contracts
• Lead generation via networking, cold calling, canvassing, etc. 
• Represent the company with integrity and professionalism
   

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Sales experience preferred (roofing or exterior sales a plus)
• Basic smartphone and computer skills
• Ability to climb ladders and inspect roofs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass Michigan Salesperson License
• Someone hungry to earn, this is performance based
